Setagaya piirkond, kus avastati kõrgenenud kiirgustase.

Ward in Tokyo where airborne radiation of up to 3.35 microsieverts per hour, exceeding readings in some evacuation zones around the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant plant, was detected the same day in seen in this photo taken by Kyodo on October 13, 2011. Road cones have been placed around the site by the ward office, as the sidewalk is used as a route to a nearby elementary school. Small radiation hotspots have been detected in Tokyo and radioactive strontium has been found in nearby Yokohama seven months into the nuclear crisis, stoking worries in the nation's most populated areas far from the crippled Fukushima plant. Jaapani võimude teatel avastati Tokyo elamurajoonis kõrgenenud kiirgustase, vahendab BBC.

Kiirguskolle leiti Setagawa piirkonnast, mis asub märtsis tsunamitabamuse saanud Fukushima tuumajaamast 200 kilomeetri kaugusel. Võimalik radiatsioonilevik valmistab Jaapanile jätkuvalt muret.

Nüüd mõõdetud 3,35 mikrosiivertit tunnis ületab mõne Fukushima lähiümbruspiirkonna andmeid, kuid võimude teatel see tervisele ohtu ei kujuta.

Kiirgus avastati umbes ühe meetri kõrgusel Setagaya kõnnitee kohal. Asjast andis võimudele teada piirkonna murelik elanik.

Kõnniteed kasutavad Kyodo uudisteagentuuri hinnangul pidevalt koolilapsed.

Kuigi võimude teatel radiatsioonitase tervist ei ohusta, eraldati piirkond ettevaatusabinõuna siiski.
